Our 2nd outing should have been in April at Bromsgrove but due to Covid 19 lockdown the season has been interrupted for 3 months.We finally (17 members) got under way in June at Cleobury Mortimer,although the condition of the course was under par with poor greens and a heavy downpour towards the end of the rounds it didnt stop Bob from having a great round shooting 42 points a net 65 with 5 pars and a birdie,His handicap now is 17 (16.8) from 19.6 for his troubles.Runner up with a better back nine than John Shaw was Sting both shooting 36 points with net’s of 71’s.Nearest the pins where we had no more than 4 today went to Roger (10)who claimed 2 of them Neil S (8) and Badger (6) who also claimed the wooden spoon .Handicap changes now sees Neil S now off 20 (19.6) and getting .2 back as well are Ash,Badger,Dave F,Arch S,Simon and Bopa

Sedgley Golf Society’s 21st season almost didnt start due to the panademic Covid-19. Our 1st fixture,the March Medal was at South Staffs with a great turn out 24 members who proved an outing was needed with nearly half the field receiving shots (units) back following it.Despite the weather being a mixed, rain threatened day,young Hayden came out on top shooting 36 points,net 72 even par,runner up with a better back 9 was Neal Smith with Arron 3rd shooting 34 points.Nearest the pins went to Weenie and Carlos with John Shaw collecting the wooden spoon.Handicap changes sees Hayden now off 12(12.1) from 13 (12.7) and Sting+Dave Flavell now off 17 (16.6) others getting .2 back were Ash,Carlos,Neil S,Nikky,Stu,Roger,John S,Suky and Arch Shaw.
