A trip to Astbury was the 9th fixture of the season. We were greeted by warm weather and a course in great condition. I think most players fancied their chances on a course that we play frequently. As always with Astbury it is a case of staying on the fairways and avoiding trouble. Stu Gordon did exactly that with his trusty 5 iron helping him to a very creditable 62 net and his 7th Major win. Roger Mole pinched another 2nd place with 65 and Neil Kinsey 3rd with a net 68.
